5 Simple Second-Day Hairstyles

August 26, 2021by fadmin

Let’s face it… we’ve all had those mornings where the time just somehow gets away from us. You might hit the snooze button one too many times or maybe breakfast took a little bit longer to make than you originally planned. Whatever has you running short for time in the morning, these five easy second-day hairstyles will have you looking gorgeous even when you’re in a pinch and can’t re-wash your hair!

  1. Bubble Braids

Bubble braids are the ‘it’ hairstyle of 2021. And the good news is, they’re actually easier to style on second-day hair that has a bit of natural oil to it. Start by tying your hair into a high ponytail and adjust it to be as tight or relaxed as you prefer. Then take another hair elastic and tie it a couple of inches further down your first ponytail. Tease the space between each elastic you add and repeat the process until you reach the bottom.

  1. Looped Half Bun

Half-buns should be in everyone’s regular style rotation – especially for those days where you need to put off a day of hair washing. First, separate the top half of your hair and tie it into a tight ponytail at the top of your head. Then, twist your hair around the base of the elastic and secure it in place with either bobby pins or another elastic. If you want some extra volume or drama, you can also tease your loose hair for a fuller effect.

  1. Knotted Ponytail

Knotted ponytails are easy to pull off and look so chic! Just separate your hair right down the middle into two equal sections. Then take one section in each hand and crisscross them to create the outline of this unique shape. Find the opening between the two with your fingers and thread one side through for a knotted look. You can secure the knot by tightly pulling each side and pinning them down.

  1. Face-Framing Twists

Twists are by far the most hassle-free option on this list. All they take is a couple of bobby pins and a simple hand motion! Grab small sections of your hair that frame your face on both sides – but make sure they’re even first. From there, simply twist them two your liking and pin them in place. For more an even more stylish take, you can also braid the strands of hair as well.

  1. Braided Ponytail

Braided ponytails might look complicated in Pinterest photos, but they’re actually so easy to style on second-day hair! First, tie your hair back into a ponytail. Then take a small section of hair and wrap it around the elastic and secure it with a bobby pin (and hairspray if you need it). Create three equal sections of hair and start braiding them as you typically would. Continue until you reach the bottom of your hair and hold it all in place with another elastic.
